Why We Support St. Jude

St. Jude Walk/Run - Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

Legacy of Jaxon Kash

September is  Cardiomyopathy awareness month and Childhood Cancer awareness month . Our precious sons life was cut short on 5/5/2021 after being diagnosed at 8 months with a rare heart disease Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. He went undiagnosed just like most others do with this disease . Restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM) has the poorest prognosis among all types of heart muscle diseases, with 2- and 5- year mortality rates of 50% and 70%, respectively, and the highest rate of sudden cardiac death.

After he passed away , we found out he also had Neuroblastoma . Neuroblastoma is rare, but it's the most common cancer in babies. Approximately 500-1000 cases/year in the US .

  • 8% of all cancers, but responsible for over 15% of deaths.
  • Median age at diagnosis is 2 years old.
  • In 70% of the cases the disease has spread to other parts of the body at diagnosis.
  • The prognosis for high-risk neuroblastoma was 20% until recently. Encouraging developments are increasing the chances of survival.

Please help support our 3rd year attending the St. Jude's on our mission to help raise movement to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness in remembrance of our precious Jaxon Kash Rodriguez .

Can we count on your donation to support our team?

Since its founding 60 years ago, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent.

And because St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.

Thank you for supporting us and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today. Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
