Why We Support St. Jude

St. Jude Walk/Run - Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

For Kelli

Team: For Kelli

My cousin Kelli was diagnosed with liposarcoma in 2008 (in her teens). She was treated at St. Jude and lived at Ronald McDonald house in Memphis for a year.  Her cancer has returned 5 times since she went into remission, and St. Jude accepted her back each time, even though she was eventually over the max age limit for treatment there. We're grateful to still have her today (she's in her early 30's), but her battle continues. St. Jude has been the saving grace to keeping Kelli alive and her parents have never received a bill. The work they do at St. Jude is amazing, and I will continue supporting the cause.

Our team picture is Kelli and my dad around 2009 at the St. Jude hospital in Memphis.

Can we count on you to make a donation or join our team?

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their child live. Because of our generous donors, St. Jude can provide children cutting-edge treatments not covered by insurance, at no cost to families.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.

Thank you for supporting us and the lifesaving work happening at St. Jude today.

Let’s cure childhood cancer. Together.
