As a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, I am raising funds and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. In 2018, TKE committed to raising $10 million dollars in 10 years to name the Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Research Floor. Together, we can achieve that goal.
My connection to the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® goes far beyond my involvement in a Fraternity. I had the privilege to tour the Hospital's campus in June, and I have truly seen what is possible through the generosity of donors like you all. I found out one of my coworkers was a St. Jude patient through my work, and you never know whose life you can impact through generosity. Cancer affects all of us in one way or another, and my connection to the mission of curing cancer was strengthened this year when I lost my aunt, Dawn Dee Jarvis to a long fight against the disease. Danny Thomas said, "no child should die in the dawn of life". I believe nobody should die from cancer ever.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® shares all their discoveries and treatments with the rest of the medical community. The Hospital has global initiatives to empower communities all over the world with most cutting edge cancer treatment. The single largest determinant of childhood cancer survival rate is where the child lives. This is why St. Jude has evolved into the global leader it is today. They recognize medical disparities not just domestically, but internationally and actively work to reduce them. Danny Thomas said, "I'd rather have a million people give a dollar than one give me a million. That way you've got a million people involved."
You can help me be a leader in service by donating for the kids of St. Jude, who are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
- Thanks to donors like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened in 1962. And we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Together we can help St. Jude make a global impact. Please donate to help us reach our goal!
