My name is Owen Cook and I am a sophomore at Virginia Tech University. As a member of my fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon, I am raising funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In 2018, TKE committed to raising $10 million dollars in 10 years to name the Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Research Floor. Together, we can achieve that goal. St. Jude is one of the pillars of being a TKE and we strive to change the lives of many. Danny Thomas the founder of St. Jude, also a TKE, said that “No child should die in the dawn of life.” Holding Danny’s vision of St. Jude true we hope to raise more money this semester than ever before. Thanks to donors like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened in 1962. And we won't stop until no child dies from cancer. Our goal is to raise $260,000 this semester and with hopefully your help we can get there. Please consider donating and spreading the word of the St. Jude cause and help change the lives of many.
