Why I Want to Give
"Groups who give, thrive. Men who give, grow."
I am trying to become better at giving, because it's ultimately those who give - live a better and more fulfilling life. Why do I say this? The best business leaders in the world often pursuit philanthropy as aggressive and often as they pursuit business. It's people who give to others that make this world a better place; it feels great when you become a part of something much larger than yourself.
The Mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (is extremely inspiring)
"The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay."
No child should have to die in the dawn of life... it's a terrible thing to think about, but that is what St. Jude is working to prevent every. single. day.
Imagine if you were a parent, and your child was diagnosed with a deadly disease... wouldn't you want someone to help?
How does your donation help?
- Thanks to donors like you, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Thank you for taking time to read this all the way through. I genuinely do want to make this world a better place; hopefully you do too, and in the process you'll become a part of something much larger than yourself.
