Hi, I am Jacob a Peoria St Jude patient. I was born with a rare genetic blood disease called beta thalassemia major, which causes my bone marrow to produce damaged red blood cells that will not carry adequate oxygen to my muscles, tissues, and organs. Thanks to all of you and your generosity, St. Jude has the best doctors, researchers, nurses, and facilities to help treat me. I have to receive three blood transfusions every three weeks to sustain and keep my body healthy. Also, I need a lot of medicine to help me chelate iron and help me grow and develop. Please pray that the great research at St. Jude will continue to work on better treatments and someday a cure. St. Jude has provided me excellent health care and at no expense to my family. I and all my friends that have thalassemia or fighting all kinds of childhood cancers need your help! Please donate!!
Thank you!!!
I am raising funds to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's lifesaving mission of finding cures for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and I need your help to reach my fundraising goal.
How your donation helps:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened in 1962. And we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands of children.
Thank you for your support! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
