Last year, my fraternity, Phi Mu Delta, hosted the first-ever "Winter Beach Party" in December 2019. Modeled after a cash bash, Winter Beach Party was the first of its kind on campus, giving away $1,200 in gift cards from local Pittsburgh businesses and over $3,000 worth of prizes.
During the event, we made 288 waiting room bags and raised $4,200+ for families of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to hold this event in person. However, we have decided to transition this event to happen virtually. While the nature of the event is different, the true goal remains: raise money for St. Jude during the holiday season. And in order to be successful, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal!
How your donation helps:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. We won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands of more children.
100% of the donations made through this platform will go to St. Jude, and all donations are tax-deductible. Please consider making a donation in any amount to help support the patients of St. Jude during this unique holiday season. Together we can help St. Jude change the world. Thank you!
