Kara and I are again joining St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and PAWS for St. Jude to help cure childhood cancer. Treatments invented at St. Jude helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. As a 30 year survivor of childhood Leukemia, the work that St. Jude does is essential to continue the fight against childhood cancer and no doubt helped contribute to my successful treatment.
But fur real—80 percent isn't good enough. We won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Pediatric cancer treatment can be ruff, and that’s where our furry friends Huckleberry and Puggle come in! They’re the official specially trained service dogs at St. Jude through the Paws at Play hospital dog program. This is our second year participating in this fundraiser. This year to show our support for this cause Kara, Pete and I are pledging to walk 250,000 steps during the month of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We will be joined by Pete's friend Sadie to help us have a Pawsitively wonderful experience. Thank you for taking the time to read and support a cause that we believe in.
Much Love,
Kara, Pete, Sadie & Dylan
