Griffith Police Department 2nd Annual No Shave November
The Griffith Police Department is raising funds to support St. Jude's lifesaving mission of finding cures for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and we need your help to reach our fundraising goal.
The Griffith Police Department is happy to be joining fellow law enforcement agencies from around the country by participating in No Shave November again this year. The goal of No Shave November is to grow cancer awareness by embracing facial hair which many cancer patients lose. Each participating Officer will not only put down their razors and shaving cream but also donate $1 for every day of the month of November ($1 a day x 30 November days = $30 per participating Officer ). The community will start noticing facial hair on officers beginning November 1st and collectively if we can raise $7,500.00 by November 30th, officers will get to keep their beards until April 30th, 2020.
Last year with the help and support of the community The Griffith Police Department raised $10,800 and was named on St. Jude’s website as one of the “Top 10 Online Fundraisers” in the nation.
How your donation helps:
- Thanks to donors like you, no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
Join us! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
