Magnolia Heights School is participating in Team Up 4 St. Jude for the fifth consecutive year. We have set our goal to $30,000 because this will raise our cumulative total of the past five years to $100,000! For the past two years we have been recognized by Varsity Brands as the top fundraising school in the nation! We plan to keep this title again this year. Help us beat our goal; beating our goal is one step closer to beating childhood cancer.
Why do we choose St. Jude each year?
• St. Jude freely shares discoveries, so every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
• Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 to above 80 percent.
• Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food—because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
• The daily operating cost of St. Jude is $2.2 million. Approximately 75% of the costs of St. Jude are covered by public contributions.
No matter what the uncertianties of the upcoming year may be, we know one thing is certain: childhood cancer still exists. As long as this is the case, we will continue to fundraise.
