It’s been well over a decade since I swam, biked, and ran my way to Ironman glory. More things jiggle and wiggle. I don’t just wear glasses now, I wear multifocals. Seriously!!! Muiltfocals?!? WTF…
But, some things never change, and that includes having a big heart and trying to do my part for those who can’t. In a little under a month I’m going to schlep my creaky bones up Whistler mountain (in Canada) - 8 times (or, until my feet declare mutiny and force me to stop!). I’ve trained my tail off (or whatever the mid-40s, haven’t slept well since my 30s equivalent is). Heck, I haven’t even hiked with a white burgundy in almost 7 months (gasp… I know, it’s just not right!).
Hopefully while I’m doing the heavy lifting of hiking some 29,029 vertical feet in 36 hours, you’ll consider donating to my team’s charity fundraiser for St. Jude’s. They help sick kids and their families. No bills go to the families. Just the best care possible to get through things far gnarlier than my nutjob climb up a mountain 8x.
If you’re so inclined, would love a contribution or even a good thought! I’m hoping to raise $5,000. Here’s the link to my fundraising page.
Sparkle on!
Xo, Jazzy
How your donation helps:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened in 1962. And we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands of children.
Thank you for your support! Together we can help St. Jude change the world.
