Climbin4Kids was an initiative started in 2021 by a group of Ameren Illinois linemen competing at the International Lineman's Rodeo in Kansas City. Their goal was to leverage their participation in the event to raise money and awareness for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, which helps families during their greatest time of need. In that first year, the team not only had success in the rodeo competition with several stage appearances, they also raised more than $5,500 for St. Jude's.
Building on the success of that initial effort, the International Lineman's Rodeo Association (ILRA) joined the cause the following year and $44,000 was collected for St. Jude's. Last year, with the generous help of both organizations, countless volunteers, and donations from vendors, Climbin4Kids reached a new level, raising more than $110,000.
We're proud to say that, through the Climbin4Kids program, 100% of all donations go directly to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This goal is achieved through the many volunteers, generous monetary donations, and items donated to be raffled. We also support fundraising events, both large and small, as every dollar is valuable. St. Jude's uses these funds to help families cover expenses, fund research of childhood cancers, and hopefully someday find a cure.
Climbin4Kids is truly a team effort and we cannot be successful without the support of Ameren teammates, like you. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000. We'll get there if you help.
