Why I support St. Jude:
Thank you for visiting my St. Jude Runs fundraising page!
St. Jude Runs is more than a run — I’m going the distance to support the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Why I run? On January 11th 2022, my wife Emily and I received the horrifying news "Your child has cancer." We were torn apart. We didn't know what to do. We had so many question, but mostly, will our son Jax survive? Jaxon was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia. It all started with his back hurting so bad we could barely get a shirt on him. That turned into possible severe constipation, to maybe now anemia, and then ultimately, leukemia. With all the tears, worry, and fear, we luckily had amazing support from family, friends but even more, from all of the doctors and nurses at St. Jude Clinic in Peoria. From January 11th, 2022 to today, they have been our second family and have helped us with any struggles Jax has had or that our family has had. I am proud to say, Jax will be done with treatment on March 21st, 2024! This is in part because of St. Jude Children's Hospital and all of those who help donate each year to help end childhood cancer. We are blessed to be so close to such an amazing clinic and live in a community that supports St. Jude like Central Illinois does.
Every dollar makes an impact, and I need your help to reach my goal! Can I count on your donation to help the kids of St. Jude?
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 60 years ago— but there is still work to be done.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation today? Let’s cross the finish line together!
