Thank you for visiting my St. Jude Runs fundraising page! This is my 6th year running for the children and families of St. Jude, and the 5th that my daughter, Nora, will be running with me. She and I have been running together since she was 5 years old, and this event has become a special part of our running journey.
People say cancer will eventually touch everyone in some way or another, and that statement is very true for my family. In fact, if not for cancer my family would not exist in the way it does today. I know, that sounds a bit odd. Hear me out. My wife and her family lived in Ohio when her brother, Matthew, was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 6 1/2. They moved back to Peoria to be closer to family and St. Jude. Unfortunately, Matthew passed away when he was 8 years old. However, the positive impact St. Jude had on the family is immeasurable. One of the many benefits (for me) was her family moving back to Peoria. Had this not happened I may have never met Robin. While I have never needed the care and support St. Jude provides my life has been forever changed by St. Jude . . . for the better!
Every dollar makes an impact, and I need your help to reach my goal! Can I count on your donation to help the children and families of St. Jude? Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 60 years ago— but there is still work to be done. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation today? Let’s cross the finish line together!
