Why did we pick St. Jude?
It’s been a crazy, rough, humbling 6 months to say the very least. Garret and I have definitely had our moments of fear, disappointment and sadness but have in return seen so much love, generosity and kindness that it has definitely left an impact on our hearts. We have seen and felt the Lord working to orchestrate every piece of this journey and we are forever grateful for the impact it has placed on our family. This was tough enough that it was me, let alone had it been William or Annie.
The St. Jude run has always been on my radar and it was not hard for me to talk Garret into doing it with me. There have been influential people and gestures that have led us to make this commitment. We want to be a part of this community of supporters.
We are excited and thankful and trust this commitment will help make a difference for another family having to go through a similar journey as ours. Cancer is scary, and the best thing we can do is be there for others to provide the hope, support and encouragement that they need to get through this chapter. Cancer does not define us and we believe that the comeback is always stronger than the setback.
Thank you for your support!
