Have you had someone close to you diagnosed with cancer? Have you had someone close to you pass away from cancer?
I can answer yes to both of these questions. This is why I became a St. Jude Runner 17 years ago. When I first became a St. Jude Runner, I had only had my close friend Zachary Allen diagnosed and pass away from cancer. Since I have been a St. Jude Runner, I have had my great uncle diagnosed with cancer and become a cancer survivor. I have also had my grandma diagnosed and pass away from cancer.
Each year I participate in the St. Jude Run, I have the pleasure of hearing more cancer patient's stories either from the patient or from their families. Hearing these stories and having love ones pass away from cancer are my motivation to be a St. Jude Runner.
Since I have started the St. Jude Run, I have the pleasure of getting to run with different teams. This year, I will be joining the Eureka to Peoria St. Jude Run team. I am super excited and looking forward to this new adventure with the Eureka St. Jude Run family.
In order for me to be able to participate in the Eureka to Peoria St. Jude Run, I will need your help. To participate in the run, I need to raise$1,000.00. All the money I raise goes directly to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help the doctors find a cure for cancer. The goal is to find a cure for cancer and so no one else gets the diagnosis of cancer or even pass away from cancer.
The St. Jude Run takes place on August 5, 2023. If you would like to make a donation, I will need the donations by August 4, 2023. If you would like to write a check, checks can be made out to St. Jude Runs.
You can also make a donation through my personal donation page. Here is the link for my donation page: https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?px=4465510&pg=personal&fr_id=142553.
Thank you in advance for your support, I could not continue my passion each year without you:)
Sincerely Your St. Jude Runner,
