In January 2014, our daughter, Samantha, was diagnosed with aggressive stage four Ewing Sarcoma with a primary tumor the size of a grapefruit in her pelvis and metastasis to her bone marrow, hips, shoulders and spine. We were devastated.
She endured a year and a half of treatment which involved five high dose chemotherapy drugs and many rounds of radiation, followed by a clinical trial available due to new research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
Today, Samantha is a Senior in high school, applying to college and hoping to study medicine and global health.
St. Jude is a one-of-a-kind research institution and hospital that treats childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. They share their research in real time and have partnerships around the globe to fight for the day when "no child dies in the dawn of life." We are forever grateful for the brilliant minds and loving hearts of our St. Jude family. Our family will forever stand with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in their mission to bring hope and life to all children, as we are eternally grateful for the hope and life the hospital has given to us.
With our love and appreciation, thank you for donating to St. Jude. We are grateful beyond words.
