Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This is my 6th year fundraising for St. Jude using the St. Jude Run as my avenue by which to raise money.
Last year, I re-injured my back and was only able to run a small amount. I felt defeated that I wasn't able to put my feet to the pavement for this amazing event. I very depressed thinking that last year would be my last, so I am thrilled to say that I have registered and am participating again.
I did have a second back surgery in November 2019 and am currently healing. I can't run anymore, but I do plan to train in other ways. My hope is that I can at least jog through Canton to see all of our amazing supporters, and I want to run into the Civic Center to finish off the awesome day.
The Run is not about the miles - It's about the children and the money raised to save innocent lives.
I am honored and humbled that so many of you have donated to support me and ultimately to St. Jude over the past 5 years.
My goal is to raise $1500 this year. Please help me get there.
Things to remember:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I.
