In 2003 I heard the words no parent wants to hear - ‘your child has cancer.’ We were devastated; however, our pediatrician had already been in contact with a St. Jude Hospital affiliate in our area. At our first visit we were filled with HOPE. That’s what St. Jude does - they give hope.
While the world may be trying to practice social distancing and stay at home, childhood cancer is not taking a break. Now more than ever our efforts are needed to help raise money for St. Jude. I'm part of this year's virtual relay team for the St. Jude Peoria Run. Please help me reach my fundraising goal for the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Thanks to generous donors:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. We are blessed that our son has been cured.
Will you support me by making a donation?
Thank you! Stay safe and stay well!
