Why I support St. Jude:

Our family has been a longtime supporter of St. Jude and St. Jude Runs, but I am so excited to be an active fundraiser and runner this year! I always admired all the St. Jude Runners out there fundraising and its been a big motivator and goal for me on this health journey the last few years to join them someday. Steve and I have watched several of his students, area community members and friends battle childhood cancer. How fortunate we are to have the resources of St. Jude right here in Peoria. We know the amazing work St. Jude does and have seen it give these kids their lives back!

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 60 years ago— but there is still work to be done.
