I am participating in my 11th St Jude Run as a volunteer for the Mason City St Jude Run. This is a fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital MidwestAffiliate located in Peoria, IL and I need your help!! From now until July I will be helping and volunteering with the MasonCity to Peoria team to raise money and kick off the AnnualTelethon for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The money raised goes to help St. Jude’s findnew treatments for cancer, sickle cell, and other diseases. The Midwest Affiliate treats children in ourarea who have catastrophic illnesses at absolutely no cost to the families, andthey’ve never turned a sick child away due to the inability to pay. This has only become a reality because of thesupport of volunteers, and the donations from charitable organizations andgenerous individuals.
All runners are required to raise aminimum of $1000 for this event and I am asking you to please help me reach mygoal.
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will I. Will you support me by making a donation?
