Thank you for visiting our St. Jude Runs fundraising page.
This is a first! In my 10th year running for St. Jude, I am thrilled to have my son Ethan lace up his running shoes and join me in the Washington to Peoria Run!
Over the years, runners and routes have changed, but the goal has remained the same. To raise funds in support of the kids and families of St. Jude.
It was Ethan's friend Nathan Pennington, diagnosed with medulablastoma at 4-years old, who first motivated our family to hit the pavement running or line the streets cheering. Though Nathan died 4 years later, his courageous walk with Jesus while battling cancer continues the legacy of trusting God even in the hard.
From Ethan: I want to be actually running rather than chasing my Mom around because that's more fun! But more importantly, I'm running in memory of my friend Nathan and to help expand cancer research.
As you know, St. Jude Runs is more than a run — Team Sakata is going the distance to support the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Every dollar makes an impact, and we need your help to reach our goal! Can we count on your donation to help the kids of St. Jude? Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 60 years ago— but there is still work to be done.
St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer, and neither will Ethan and I. Will you support us by making a donation today?
Let’s cross the finish line together!
