I am a St. Jude Hero! I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude. It has always been a dream and goal of mine to complete the NYC Marathon. Over the past few years, I've increasingly become more and more involved in my community and bring along my therapy dog, Murray with me. Together, we volunteer at Give Kids the World and at local nursing and memory care homes. Many of the children at Give Kids the World are also patients of St. Jude and being able to support them in this way is near and dear to my heart.
If you know me, you know I do not do anything halfway- I am committed to ensuring I reach my goal of raising $6k and giving back to families with children receiving treatment at St. Jude. PLEASE give what you can and share this opportunity to give with your network.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
