St Jude has long held a special place in my heart, which I attribute to my late mother, Denise Frisoli. Mom was an avid supporter of St Jude. A nurse for almost thirty years, she had a passion for helping others above all else and devoted much of her time to philanthropy in the form of mentorships to aspiring medical and nursing students and support of St. Jude.
My brother Drew and I have the honor of running the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon as St. Jude Hero's in honor of our mother. I ran the 2018 NYC Marathon, just a few months after Mom was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. My fondest and most vivid memory is of hugging her as you cross back into Manhattan from Harlem. Although she wont be with us on November 6th in person , she will be there in spirit as Drew and I laugh, cry and stumble our way through 26.2 miles.
Thank you advance for any donation as it will help reach our goal to cure childhood cancer. Many companies offer match donations so make sure you look into that!
FUCK CANCER!
All my best
Christian
I am a St. Jude Hero! I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
