St. Jude has long held a special place in my heart, which I attribute entirely to my late mother. Denise Frisoli, or Mom, was an avid supporter of St. Jude. A nurse for almost thirty years, Mom had a passion for helping others and devoted much of her time to philanthropy in the form of mentoring future medical students and supporting St. Jude. And her great passion for St. Jude has passed onto her sons, which explains how I ended up here.
I am extremely fortunate and grateful to run in the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon as a St. Jude Hero! I am running in an effort to help the kids and families at St. Jude. The money that we raise together will help find a cure for childhood cancer.
Any donation will help me reach my goal! I greatly appreciate any and all help from now and leading up to the race. And even after the marathon is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
My many thanks,
Andrew
Quick facts -- did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
