Hi! I'm Spencer and I'm raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to run the 2021 NYC Marathon. St. Jude saves children's lives by researching and treating pediatric cancers. I chose to run for St. Jude to support an organization that treats and defeats childhood cancer and supports impacted families.
Running became a big part of my life three years ago–much to my own surprise. Whereas I always despised running when I was younger, I now enjoy everything about it: stretching before the run, challenging myself to go faster and longer during the run, and feeling accomplished and sore after the run. The 2021 NYC Marathon will be the longest competitive race I've run and finishing will be a personal milestone. To achieve this goal while supporting St. Jude is an honor and a privilege.
Please support me by donating what you can to St. Jude and contributing to the fight against pediatric cancer.
More About St. Jude
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
