This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time! Trying to use my fitness and running to help others is something I have always felt strongly about. This year, it means running for a reason much bigger than myself, by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude.
For the past 2 years, I have competed in the Ohio Backyard Ultra, and on March 20th 2021, I will be toeing the line again. The Ohio Backyard Ultra is a last man standing, ultra race. When the starting bell rings, I will run 4.167 miles, every hour, on the hour, until only one person is left. This means that the event could last 24hrs or it could last 60hrs.
With your donation, I plan to run as many miles as my body will allow. My goal is to hit at least 100 miles this year, and with your help, that will push me even harder. This event will mean much more to me this year, because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
There are a couple different ways you can donate. You can donate a set amount before the event or you can also choose to pledge to donate a certain amount per mile that I complete during the Ohio Backyard Ultra. If you choose to donate a certain amount per mile, you would just make the donation after I have finished running at the Ohio Backyard Ultra. For example, if you choose to donate $0.25 per mile ran, and I run 100 miles, you would donate $25 after I have finished running. If you would rather make a cash donation, please email info@brandonholly.com to set something up. Any donation is truly appreciated!
Did you know:
* Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
* Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
* St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues. Thank you all so much.
