Hi! My name is Kevin Torres and I am a St. Jude Hero!
I lost my father to lymphoma when I was 8 years old. In honor of him, I will be representing St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital as a St. Jude Hero at the 2021 NYC Marathon this November, while also raising money to help find a cure for childhood cancer. No family should ever have to lose a loved one to cancer and miss out on the joys of life. As a representative, I hope to aid in St. Jude’s mission by crossing the finish line on race day -- and with your donation -- the fundraising finish line.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should ever have to worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened over 50 years ago. St. Jude will not stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands of lives.
Please consider donating today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
