My nephew Walker Beery is my hero. Walker was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in 2019 and has been battling this awful childhood cancer ever since with tremendous courage. I am running to raise money for St. Jude to honor Walker and all of the other families that have faced the challenges of these cancers that no 8 year old like Walker should have to face. My brother Taylor, Walker’s Dad, will be joining me if he is able based on how Walker is doing. We will both be very grateful any support that you can provide to this vital research. The research at St. Jude’s will be critical to finding a cure for future generations of cancer families.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
