You may Be asking yourself right Now "JP is going to run a marathon?"
Believe me, Ive been asking myself this same question before bed every night for the past 6 months. The answer, surprisingly, has been consistant.
Give me a Reason Why I Can't and I will prove you wrong.
You see, just 2 Years ago I weighed 390 pounds, was Pre Diabetic, had sleep apnea ... On my 39th Birthday I woke up glanced at my wife and said to her, " I don't wanna die when I'm 60 like my father". It was in that moment I decided to take my life back. After some soul searching, discussion with family,Trusted Friends, and Dr. Alexander Abkin of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons I decided the best way to reclaim my life was through Gastric Sleeve Surgery.
A little over 2 Years later, I am now 205 lbs, in the best shape of my life and ,if you can believe it, Training to complete something only 0.5% of the US population can say they achieved.
I need your help.
In order to reach my Goals I have become a St. Jude Hero! I have chosen to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
