HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I'll be 59 on Feb 27 and for my birthday I've made a $59 donation to start this off. Most of you know how passionate I am on St Jude, and since Susie and I just returned from Memphis where we got to tour the hospital and meet some incredible staff, strong families and amazingly courageous kids, I am motivated to do even more of them. So since I don't need or want anything for my birthday, I'm simply asking you to consider making a donation of any size, because every dollar makes a difference.
I am what they call a St. Jude Hero. I help raise funds for these kids and families at St. Jude. I am training to cross the finish line for numerous races (San Diego Half in Mach, Mountains 2 Beach marathon in May, and quite probably the Memphis marathon in December) and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
This post will only be up for a short time, so please donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues. Thank you and God Bless
