Hi! I'm Lindsay and I am excited to represent St. Jude during the New York City Marathon in November 2020. Thank you for visiting my donation page.
When I reflect on why I'm running and why I chose St. Jude, the first thing that comes to mind is the idea of second chances. When I was a baby, I was given the second chance to live a healthy, carefree, innocent life due to the compassion my adoptive parents had, as well as the advanced medicine provided to me.
While it is a very unprecedented time, one thing is for sure... St. Jude is giving children second chances every minute of every day. With your donation, we can cross the fundraising goal finish line together to help more children combat the obstacles that they have been forced to face at such a young age. Together, we can help them fight and persevere to see their second chance. St. Jude strives to help not only the child patient, but all who are affected.
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. St. Jude also freely shares discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Here is what your donation can directly do during COVID19:
- A $3 donation can provide a pediatric isolation mask
- A $10 donation provides a new toy for hospital play areas
- A $35 donation will feed a St. Jude family for a whole day in the hospital cafeteria
- A $60 donation can provide necessities to parents who had to rush their child to the hospital
I am very grateful for any donation, as every dollar counts. When the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer and illnesses continues.
With strength, love and gratitude,
