I have logged nearly 6000 miles since Jan of 2012. My reasons for running have always been about me. Whether it be about better physical health, better mental health, or just "me" time. Often times, as a mom, I have felt guilty about the amount of time I have spent running, feeling like I "should" be doing something else, or guilty that Kevin has to pick up the slack when I'm off doing my thing. This year I'm running for a greater purpose, raising money for ST JUDE Children's Research Hospital. I will log roughly 700 miles preparing for The Chicago Marathon in October, and I need your help.
Your donation will help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Please consider helping me reach this goal!
Did you know:
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
