Hello! My name is Pankti Tamboli and I will be running the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in Washington D.C on March 28, 2020. For my first half marathon, I would like to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital! All donations will go towards finding a cure for childhood cancer, and other life threatening pediatric diseases.
I would greatly appreciate any support - whether it is in the form of a donation or through sharing my campaign! As someone with family and friends who have suffered from cancer, and as a medical student learning to care for these patients, I am proud to be a “St. Jude’s Hero,” by fundraising for this cause. I hope that you can help me in reaching my fundraising goal, and in turn in helping kids receive the healthcare they deserve. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about this cause!
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
