Hey Everyone - thanks so much for your donations to St Jude in 2019. Your kindness and generosity truly humbled me, and to be honest since I retired from Haynes, it was just good / enjoyable trading emails with so many of you. I will be running the St Jude Half Marathon again this year. I hope you will once again consider a donation to St Jude as part of your 2020 charitable giving. You’ll notice several of the donations listed on my page this year are in tribute to my brother, Tim. We lost Tim in January, and he was a big advocate of St Jude.... his obituary requested donations to St Jude rather than flowers, etc... He was a great guy....kind, generous, proud of his family & his military service (almost 40 years between the Air Force and Dept of Defense), and he loved Notre Dame. I mentioned last year that I learned a lot about St Jude a few years back through a friend, and in this past year I learned more from so many of you who support this cause, including Tim. Thanks again for looking at this and considering St Jude. Remember....your support HELPS CHILDREN FIGHT CANCER. St Jude has a remarkable model / mission:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Thank you so much for considering St Jude.
