This is my first marathon and running 26.2 miles seems daunting but it's nowhere near the challenge that these children and their families face when battling cancer in all it's various forms. In addition to the painful treatments and limited lifestyle imposed on the kids, the families are consumed by the financial cost and time commitment that dealing with this disease requires. So please help me support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; a non-profit organization that helps these struggling families. Any amount helps.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Only 4% of the billions of dollars that are annually spent on cancer research and treatments are directed towards treating childhood cancer. Help us achieve "more than 4".
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
