Last summer I committed to training and running in my first half marathon! My race will take place on February 9, 2020. Not only am I looking forward to achieving this goal, but I’m also excited I have the opportunity to give back through this race.
While registering for the race, I made the decision to run for a reason bigger than myself by fundraising for the children and families at St. Jude. I am determined to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together. All donations assist in finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
I humbly ask for your thoughts, support, and donation to help me reach my goal of not only running in my first half marathon, but also giving back to the families of St. Jude. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
