Hello family, friends, and St. Jude supporters - thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
As many of you know, this past March my dad and I ran the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on behalf of the American Cancer Society. It was an awesome experience training alongside my dad and running beside people from all walks of life. The crowds that lined the NYC streets was electric, motivating me to push through to the finish line. The motivation was such, that it has driven me to do it all again, but this time for the full Marathon (26.2 miles) in November with a charity that I hold close to my heart, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude is the patron saint of children, and my go to source for spiritual strength for myself and my family. My personal journey with St. Jude began my junior year of high school when I tore my ACL - I strongly believe St. Jude listened to my prayers and was a force in getting me back on the field in 4 months, just in time for my senior year state run - St. Jude proved to be a constant support throughout my 4 years at OSU, and continues to be a source of strength for so many. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a remarkable foundation. The money that St. Jude Heroes raise help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Being 10 out of 20 weeks into NY Road Runners’ Marathon training program (half way!), as well as the month of September being National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, what better time to start fundraising than now? Please join me in supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital’s wonderful mission!
Thank you in advance for supporting, and being a part of not only my journey, but more importantly... the hope for so many families that receive the blessings of St. Jude.
