Hello Everyone! This coming October I will be running the Chicago Marathon! While this may seem like a cry for help during a quarter life crisis or an even unhealthier alternative to getting bangs I have decided to run the Chicago Marathon as a St. Judes Hero. Running for St Jude is running for something bigger than myself and something that will make every 55,334 steps of the 26.2 miles count! As a St. Jude Hero I am tasked with not only training for the marathon but also raising money for the children and families of St. Jude. Over the next few days I will be creating a a facebook page where I will continue to update with training photos, St Judes facts, and fundraising updates. Please help me in sharing, donating, and spreading the word of my fundraiser and more importantly the amazing work that is done at St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Thank you so much for all of your support.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
