My name is James Colligan, from Washington, DC by way of Geneva, Switzerland. I have the honor and privilege of running the NYC Marathon on November 3, 2019 as a St. Jude Hero.
By choosing to run as a St. Jude Hero, I have the responsibility to fundraise for the kids and families at St. Jude. And I am asking for your help. Not for me, but for a far greater cause: finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Your donation helps St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Among many amazing and life changing endeavors, St. Jude's does the following:
- Ensures families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child pursue the happiness of life.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Please help us by donating today. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
