Well, I am at it again. I am running the 2021 NYC Marathon. This past year has tested us all in more ways than we could ever imagine. When the 2020 race was cancelled, I was devastated to not get a chance to fundraise & train. So, I signed up for the 2021 race with the hopes that it would go on as planned. This past week, it was announced that the race will take place on the first Sunday of November (Nov 7th) and I could not be more excited.
The race in November may look a little different than years past, but my goal has not changed one bit. I will be fundraising for the children and families at St. Jude again and will train and complete the 26.2 miles throughout every borough of NYC.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children
If you are interested in donating, please do so via my fundraising page. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
Thank you for your support! It means the world to me.
