I have chosen to run a marathon this year in honor of the sweet babies of St. Jude's. Running for a reason bigger than myself, by fundraising for the kids and families at St. Jude, is an oh-so humbling experience. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer.
I belong to a STL team named the Aching Arches. In 2019 we will host various events to help raise money. I am also personally going to making jarred pickles all summer (With Ingredients from my garden) and donate all proceeds. Please consider donating through one of these methods.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
This year's Marathon Weekend is December 6-8. We will be there. We willbe joyful, we will cry, we will be inspired and we will be sad. Cancer is awful. No child should have to fight it,and no parent should have to watch their child endure it. Thank you for workingtoward the goal of ensuring that every child - every single one - survives thebattle and goes on to live a healthy life.
Donate today (OR BUY A JAR OF PICKLES) to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
