I am a St. Jude Hero - and I couldn't be more proud!
As a survivor of childhood cancer myself, choosing to run for St. Jude Hero in the 2019 Chicago Marathon was a no-brainer. I'm hoping that reaching my fundraising goal of $2,900 can help more kids beat their battle against cancer - just like I did!
I've already started training to cross the finish line on race day (hopefully in one piece) and with your donation we can make it across the fundraising finish line together. The money that you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer and change a family's life - one step at a time.
I'm supporting St. Jude because:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Please take a second to make a donation, no matter how big or small, to help me reach my fundraising goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues!
Thank you for your support!
