Anyone that knows me knows running a marathon has been on my bucket list since I was a young girl, but I knew when the time came to take the leap, I would want to run for what I feel is a great cause.
I’m choosing to run for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital because not every child gets to grow up dreaming of running a marathon one day, some instead grow up simply dreaming for good health. I try to remind myself daily how fortunate I am for this gift of life, to be thankful for everything I have - things every child deserves to have. But truth is, it’s easy to get caught up in this dog-eat-dog world. More often than we should we complain about the unimportant, and at some point we’ve all wished for more when we already have more than enough. These children have 1 wish - a cure.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Not only is St. Jude the nations #1 pediatric cancer care hospital, it’s a place that is dedicated to letting families focus on helping their child live without worrying about the cost. The hospital is working against the clock to save the lives of these children, but need our help to make it happen. These kids all deserve a future.
I am asking for your support of my participation and to please consider donating so St. Jude can continue to treat and defeat childhood cancer. No matter what amount you’re able to give, every donation makes a difference. Thank you!!
