I am so excited to be running as a St. Jude Hero in the half marathon this year! With the help of family and friends, I was able to raise over $1200 in 2017, which more than doubled by fundraising goal. I have the honor of volunteering at St. Jude in the Child Life Program and am continually inspired by the hope and perseverance exhibited by the children and families of St. Jude. As you probably already know, St. Jude never charges patients for their treatment. Please help me donate to St. Jude so that they can continue to save the lives of children and find a cure for childhood cancer. Any amount is appreciated! As Danny Thomas once said: "No child should die in the dawn of life".
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
