The past two years I have had the opportunity to participate in St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend and I am so excited to say that I will be running the half marathon again this year! I have signed up as a St. Jude Hero with the National Tri Delta Team which means that I have committed to raising $600. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps find a cure for childhood cancer. $5, $10, $50- no donation is too small or too big.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- One of my favorite parts about St. Jude is that they freely share all of their research and discoveries. If you have ever known a childhood cancer patient, it is likely that their lives have been affected by St. Jude even if they have never stepped foot on their campus. This is because their treatments are shared with doctors and patients around the world.
