Hello all! ... that's right, a marathon every year (not to mention the 7- 8 by november 2nd- half marathons done for training). It all started my Freshman year of college in 2016. Every year for the last four years, I have run to represent an organization that I love, and for a cause that I am passionate about. Since I started running, I've had the opportunity to work at St. Jude's Target House, a long term housing facility for St. Jude patients and families. Working there gave me a look into what battling cancer is like outside of the hospital setting. I got to get to know these kids, I got to see some get better, and some get worse. Most of all, I got to see first hand where donations go in terms of patient care. Currently, I am a research assistant in the Epidemiology and Cancer Control department within the main hospital campus. I am assisting with multiple projects, looking at ways to help improve survivor quality of life and health outcomes. The research done here is currently, and will continue to lead our community in the treatment of some terrible ailments. To sum up, I just want you all to know how much I love the place that I work, and how much I admire the kids I work to help.
Please consider making a donation. As an employee at this organization, I can promise that every cent contributes to a cause much larger than all of us.
