Why am I a St. Jude hero, simple WHY NOT. Who wants to do more than run. We all want to work to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It doesn't matter whether you are running the 5k or full marathon, we are all running for a cause that is greater than us and we can do it together. In 2018, St. Jude became a reality to me and my family. My daughter Olivia Rose was diagnosed with ALL leukemia. One thing my daughter has taught me this past two years is that if she can handle weekly treatments of chemo and everything else involved with her process, then I can make it through any distance of a race. So be a part of something great, because there is nothing bigger than the hearts and determination of these children we are fundraising for. A special thank you is in store for those that have gone the extra mile in supporting our team and our mission. With every dollar you have helped raise has brought this amazing hospital one step closer to ending childhood cancer.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
