I am a St. Jude Hero! Why you ask? Well In July of 2018 I experienced what it was like to be the father of a child battling ALL leukemia. My sweet Olivia Rose was diagnosed with it and my family and I have had to learn a new normal of life. If it wasn’t for a facility such as St. Jude, my daughter would never have the chance of survival that she now has. For that I am forever grateful and will never stop doing my part to help continue its legacy in this amazing city but also the world. I am training to cross the finish line on race day and with your donation we can cross the fundraising finish line together because the money you donate helps the hospital grow from the 80% success rate they now have to getting it ever closer to the long term goal, which is making each child that walks through their doors cancer free.
Did you know:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 100% and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
