Years ago I had the opportunity to tour the St. Jude campus. The campus, decorated with art created by the patients, is emotionally moving. I asked how can kids who are facing so much trauma have the ability to create so many beautiful things. The guide told me it’s because their hospital is full of hope. That is so true.
If the kids at St. Jude’s can face their challenges then I should be able to fundraiser for them. My wife and daughter challenged me to run a full marathon and to raise $3000 for St. Jude’s.
Please help me reach my goals and help with St. Jude’s Research. That way they can continue to provide these services:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, and they won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
- St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more.
